Gyrotonic Level I Teacher Pre Training Course

​​Purpose
To provide a foundational understanding of the Gyrotonic level 1 exercises and prepare students physically for the Gyrotonic Level 1 Foundation Course. Alternately, this course may be taken for personal enrichment, as your own retreat! During this course, students focus on gaining experience and developing a personal understanding of the exercises on the Pre-Training Course exercise list. Note this course is required before attending a Foundation Course.

Prerequisites
An experienced Gyrotonic student with a basic understanding of the Gyrotonic level 1, progression I exercises. Students should take a minimum of ten or more classes with a Licensed Gyrotonic Trainer before registering for this course. For students who do not have access to Gyrotonic classes, a three-day introductory course designed to provide an introduction to the Gyrotonic level 1, progression 1 exercises can be taken before the Pre-Training Course.

Upon successful completion
Once students have successfully completed the Gyrotonic Level 1 Pre-Training Course, they may proceed to the Gyrotonic Level 1 Foundation Course. The foundation course must be taken between one week and 3 months after the pre-training course.

Gyrotonic Level I Teacher Training Foundation Course
March 13 - 15, 18 - 22, 27 - 29, April 3 - 5 2026

This course is scheduled over 4 long weekends.
Purpose
To provide a more in-depth understanding of the Gyrotonic Level 1 curriculum and provide students with the specific skills and techniques needed to teach these exercises to clients. During this course, a Gyrotonic Master Trainer introduces the teaching techniques and principles underlying the Gyrotonic Level 1 exercise syllabus and introduces the complete Gyrotonic, Level 1 exercise curriculum.​

Prerequisites
Successful completion of the Gyrotonic Level 1 Pre-Training Course. No more than 12 weeks can expire between the completion of your Pre-Training Course and the Foundation Course.​
Upon Successful Completion
Upon successful completion of this course, you are issued a Certificate of Apprenticeship and can begin providing instruction to clients. The apprenticeship license is valid for 1 year. During the one-year apprenticeship period, students will finish the Gyrotonic Level 1 Apprenticeship Review Course, practice teaching hours, and the Gyrotonic Final Certificate Course. Students must spend a minimum of six months in personal practice and practice teaching before they are eligible to attend the final certificate course. Retaking a ​Foundation Course may be applied as your Apprentice Review or Update Course.

Gyrokinesis Level I Apprentice Review Course

Prerequisite
Successful completion of the Gyrokinesis Level I Foundation Course​

Purpose
To help apprentices review and practice the Gyrokinesis Level I Foundation Course material and prepare for the Gyrokinesis Level I Final Certificate Course.
During the apprenticeship period, apprentices are required to take a three day Apprentices Review Course and to complete 30 “teaching client” hours. These requirements are fulfilled over a minimum of six months and a maximum of one year apprenticeship period.
Apprentices complete their apprenticeship review course hours under the guidance and supervision of a Gyrokinesis Master Trainer, either in the form of a three day Gyrokinesis Apprenticeship Review Course, or by re-taking the Gyrokinesis Foundation Course.

Upon successful completion
Once apprentices have successfully completed all of the apprenticeship requirements, they are qualified to proceed to the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Final Certificate Course. At least two weeks must elapse between the apprenticeship review course and the Gyrokinesis Final Certificate Course. At least six months must elapse between the foundation course and the final certificate course.

GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® Applications for Runners

Human beings are born to run! GYROTONIC® Applications for Runners is the ideal user guide for anatomically correct running, for beginners and professionals. In this course, students learn how to prepare the body for a lifetime of efficient, injury-free, enjoyable running.

This is part 3 of your 4-part program on your journey to becoming a licensed and certified instructor. During this course you will review the entire Foundation Level 1 curriculum, review important tips for success in your own teaching practice and prepare for a successful participation in the GYROTONIC® Final Certification Course, your final exam.
