Gyrotonic Level I Teacher Pre Training Course
Sept 17 - 22, 2026 with Alicia Parrish
The GYROTONIC® Level 1 Pre-Training Course is an experiential introduction designed to build a strong foundation for the Level 1 certification pathway. This training supports students in developing a personal understanding of the exercises while preparing both physically and mentally for the Foundation Course. Many students experience this course as a meaningful period of focused learning—almost like a retreat—where time is dedicated to deepening personal practice and connection to the work.
Students are welcomed into a warm, supportive learning environment where learning unfolds step by step. I create a space where students feel encouraged to move, explore, ask questions, and build confidence in their understanding of the exercises. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to continue to the GYROTONIC® Level 1 Foundation Course, typically taken within one week to three months.

GYROTONIC® Level I Teacher Training Foundation Course

The Gyrotonic Level 1 Foundation Course is an experiential and immersive training designed to support each student’s learning in a thoughtful and personal way. This course is both thorough and approachable, with time built in for questions, discussion, and meaningful practice. Students receive individualized attention as they develop both their understanding of the exercises and their teaching skills, including the careful development of hands-on cueing to support confident and effective teaching.
Students are welcomed into a warm, supportive learning environment where curiosity is encouraged and learning happens together. We create a learning space where students feel safe to ask questions, take their time with the material, and grow steadily into confident teachers. Upon successful completion, students receive a Certificate of Apprenticeship and may begin teaching as they continue progressing toward full certification.

Gyrokinesis Level I Apprentice Review Course

Successful completion of the Gyrokinesis Level I Foundation Course
Purpose
To help apprentices review and practice the Gyrokinesis Level I Foundation Course material and prepare for the Gyrokinesis Level I Final Certificate Course.
During the apprenticeship period, apprentices are required to take a three day Apprentices Review Course and to complete 30 “teaching client” hours. These requirements are fulfilled over a minimum of six months and a maximum of one year apprenticeship period.
Apprentices complete their apprenticeship review course hours under the guidance and supervision of a Gyrokinesis Master Trainer, either in the form of a three day Gyrokinesis Apprenticeship Review Course, or by re-taking the Gyrokinesis Foundation Course.
Upon successful completion
Once apprentices have successfully completed all of the apprenticeship requirements, they are qualified to proceed to the Gyrokinesis Level 1 Final Certificate Course. At least two weeks must elapse between the apprenticeship review course and the Gyrokinesis Final Certificate Course. At least six months must elapse between the foundation course and the final certificate course.

Details Course Fee $1050 + $350 Deposit/Studio Fee This is part 3 of your 4-part program on your journey to becoming a licensed and certified instructor. During this course you will review the entire Foundation Level 1 curriculum, review important tips for success in your own teaching practice and prepare for a successful participation in the GYROTONIC® Final Certification Course, your final exam.
